The 40th edition of the Heritage Days will take place on September 16 and 17, 2023, in Paris and the Île-de-France region. This event offers a unique opportunity to discover museums with free admission, explore sites that are exceptionally open to the public, and participate in unique guided tours as well as various other enriching activities.

As we do every year, we have prepared a list of must-see places (no reservation required):
- Théâtre du Châtelet - sound and light show
- The French National Library - free visit
- The Sainte-Chapelle - free visit
- "Passages and Galleries" Circuit - guided routes around the capital
- Notre-Dame construction site - meetings, conferences, and workshops
- The Bourse de Commerce - visit the iron dome, a unique architecture
- The Historical Library of the City of Paris - free visit

In addition to these iconic locations, numerous other cultural and historical spaces will open their doors for this special occasion. From workshops for children to temporary exhibitions, there will be something for everyone and all ages.

For history enthusiasts, don't miss the guided tours of the Panthéon or the Musée d'Orsay, where you can delve into France's past. If you are more interested in contemporary art, the Centre Pompidou offers special tours that will take you behind the scenes of this iconic venue.

If you're looking for a more interactive experience, several institutions will offer practical workshops. For example, the Musée des Arts et Métiers will allow you to get hands-on by participating in demonstration workshops on traditional crafts.

For those looking to venture off the beaten path, night tours will also be organized, offering you a completely different perspective of these historically rich locations.

Don't forget to regularly check the official website for the latest updates and to plan your itinerary. Spaces are often limited, even for events without reservations, so arrive early to make the most of this unforgettable cultural experience.
